This year's SEE examination, a pivotal academic milestone for students across Nepal, commenced on Chaitra 07, 2081, and concluded on Chaitra 19, 2081. Dr. Ganesh Bhattarai, the Controller of Examinations, provided an update, stating that the extensive work involved in compiling and processing the results has reached its conclusive phase. "We are in the very final stages of the results compilation process. However, the ultimate decision to publish is still pending and requires ratification from the Board meeting," he explained. Dr. Bhattarai further indicated the strong likelihood of this critical Board meeting convening today, setting the stage for the public release.

Echoing this sentiment, Member Secretary Jang Bahadur Aryal also confirmed that a high-level meeting of the Examination Board is slated for today to deliberate on the results. While the specific time for this decisive meeting is yet to be precisely determined, the consensus among officials points towards a publication today.

The scale of the SEE 2081 examination was substantial, reflecting the growing number of students pursuing secondary education in Nepal. A remarkable total of 514,071 students appeared for the exam this year, marking a notable increase from the 464,785 students who participated in the previous year. To accommodate this vast number of examinees, the SEE was successfully conducted across an extensive network of 2,079 examination centers spread throughout the nation. Among the total participants, 431,466 were regular students, while an additional 67,715 students appeared for grade improvement, collectively forming a pool of 499,183 examinees.

The National Examination Board will adhere to the established grading directive of 2078 for the result publication. This directive, originally issued on Poush 7, 2078, underwent its first amendment on Falgun 17, 2078, ensuring a standardized and fair evaluation process.
